Macbooks are for people who like overpriced, out-of-date, frustrating-to-use laptops.
Dells are for the average computer user. You won't be doing a whole lot of demanding stuff on your average Dell--no gaming or anything like that--but they're fine for the average person who just wants to use the internet or type up documents.
