Watch live TV on my computer?

I have Comcast and I want to know how to watch TV on my PC?
What I'm looking for is a free way to actually watch a real channel AS IT IS PLAYING, not a specific show or anything...I want it to be like I'm in front of my TV or something.
No links to sites like joost or tv-links, please. I know somehow this must be legal...I just want the channels and all.
Is there a free software or site that lets me do this?
So I'm guessing I can't do this for free? I have to go out and buy something?
