What things I need to become a good leader?

Here is a simple Marshall Goldsmith's advice for all leaders:

To help others develop, start with yourself. Self development is the best way to learn how to develop others, it's good role modeling (practice what you preach), and if you don't, it comes across as arrogance (everyone else needs to improve, except for me).

Focus on learning. This doesn't necessarily mean going back to school or retraining. But it is about trying new approaches, being open to new skills, and adapting your behavior. Many managers resist learning new ways, even when it's obvious that the old ways don't work anymore. Improve your ability to apply new skills and understanding in times of change.

Different Way of telling the things Tell them what you want them to do, and they’ll resist. Tell them why you want them to do it, and they’ll amaze you with the ways they get it done.
