A Project Manager is a person who has overall responsibility for successful planning, monitoring, control and execution of a project. Project manager will be accountable for ensuring any objectives or goals that are predetermined in order to complete the project as and when desired by the organization.
"Leadership quality" and "Management excellence" are the most required skills to be a successful project manager. He/she should have ability to Balance team needs and individual needs with Building and upholding team spirit because he have to make an environment with team that team members can accept his management. Legal knowledge and ability to evaluate of alternatives is also helpful for decision making. High communication skills and Negotiating abilities are the normal skills which make them towards the project goal.
If we go at point on the role of a project manager then project manager is the person who is centralizes for success and failure of a project, more than team because in failure cases he misses the management of resources which makes a result. So he must be experienced, committed, dependable and flexible, as his position remains in the nucleus of the system, and results are centralizes on the project manager's shoulders.
